Charlotte: “I had been thinking about having gastric band surgery for about 2 years.  I had battled with my weight  for the past 10 years or so in my early 30's.  Having a child, giving up smoking and no exercise had all taken it's toll.  When I found the surgeon I wanted, it was recommended that I saw a Nutritionist.  Now as a nurse, I thought why do I need somebody telling me what I can and can't eat, I know I eat all the wrong things and too much of the wrong things so that's why I am fat !!!    I can now say I see why we need to see a Nutritionist !!!  Hayley has been a constant support to me.  She helped me through the 3 weeks prior to my surgery on my 800 calorie a day diet (yes just 800 calories !!).  I thought there is no way I can do this, I will be passing out with lack of food, but her support and diet plan worked wonders. I never once felt hungry and managed to lose 15lbs and 4oz before my surgery.  I had my surgery at the end of November 2008 and today as I write (February 2009) I am some 4stone and 7lbs lighter and I have never felt so good.
I still have some way to go, but I know with Hayley's advice and support I am guaranteed to succeed !!!!”

Mary Taylor:Maintaining a healthy weight had always presented difficulties for me throughout adulthood.  Significant health issues compounded the difficulties that most people can relate to when they are trying to lose weight.  Hayley gave me the direction to enable me to be successful in my quest to achieve a more healthy lifestyle and lose over six stone.  Exercise certainly made its own contribution  to my efforts and I now enjoy walking for the first time in my life.  Difficulties continue to present themselves, but Hayley is always very positively focused and always encourages me to keep going.  I do still have weight to lose and I remain determined to achieve my goal of being around for my children and grandchildren for many years to come. Michaela Saunders: “I went to see Hayley because I had been suffering with headaches for the past ten months and was fed up with the doctor dishing out tablets every time I went to see him. I thought my diet was pretty good, but decided it was better to make sure it wasn't something I was or wasn't eating. After completing a food diary for a week, Hayley identified immediately that I wasn't eating or drinking enough and the time between meals was too long. Also, my intake of sugar was far too high. I had to cut out refined sugar and follow a simple plan, which I can happily say have led to my headaches being a lot less frequent and I now don't have to take any tablets, which is great. I have also lost weight - which is an added bonus"
